Author Guidelines

Journal of Mathematics and its Applications (Krestama Math) is committed to publishing high-quality research in mathematics and its applications. To maintain the academic integrity and consistency of submitted manuscripts, authors must adhere to the journal's submission guidelines.

These guidelines provide essential instructions regarding manuscript formatting, structure, citation style, and ethical standards to ensure that all submissions meet the journal's requirements. Authors are encouraged to carefully follow these guidelines to facilitate the review and publication process.

A.  General Requirements

To meet the minimum standards of Journal of Mathematics and its Applications (Krestama Math), submitted manuscripts must adhere to the following requirements:

  1. Manuscripts must be written in English.
  2. Research papers must be at least 10 pages in length.
  3. The manuscript must include an English abstract (100–200 words), followed by 3–5 keywords.
  4. Authors should use reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote to format citations properly. All citations must be in-text, and the bibliography should follow the IEEE citation style.
  5. The manuscript must be formatted using the official manuscript template.

B,  Manuscript Structure

Authors should prepare their manuscript following this structured format:

  1. Title: The manuscript title must concisely describe the entire content without acronyms or abbreviations, ensuring clarity and informativeness.
  2. Abstract: The abstract should be a concise summary (100–200 words) covering purpose, methodology/approach/design, key findings, limitations, originality/value, and keywords. It must be written in one paragraph without citations or abbreviations.
  3. Section Structure: Manuscripts should follow this structured organization:
    • Introduction: Provides background information and clearly defines the research problem(s).
    • Methods: Describes the conceptual framework/research model, research method, types of instruments used, data collection approach, and data analysis techniques/tools.
    • Results and Discussion: Presents original and accurate solutions to research problems. Results must be clearly explained using text, tables, and figures. Each result should be discussed in relation to research questions and previous studies.
    • Conclusion: Answers the research purpose and problem(s) while identifying the limitations of the study and summarizing key contributions.
    • Acknowledgment: Recognizes contributors, funding sources, or institutional support.
    • References: references used must be relevant and uptodate, with at least 85% sourced from reputable journal papers that include their DOI or URL.
    • Appendix (optional): Contains supplementary material if necessary
  4. All citations in the manuscript’s body text are listed in the bibliography and vice versa
  5. Manuscripts must be checked and edited by someone who is fluent in English (Proofreader)

C.  Figures and Tables

  1. All figures and tables must be numbered and titled.
  2. Figures should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
  3. Use Insert Caption in Microsoft Word to add numbering and titles to figures and tables.
  4. Figures and tables must be self-explanatory, meaning they should be understandable without referring to the main text.
  5. Tables should be created using the Table function in Microsoft Word, not as images.

D.  Mathematical Notation

  1. Use Equation Editor or MathType to write mathematical expressions.
  2. Number equations that are referenced in the text using the format Eq. (1), Eq. (2), etc..
  3. Ensure consistency in mathematical symbols and notation throughout the manuscript.

E.  Plagiarism Policy

Submitted manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30% will be returned to the authors for revision.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  1. This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  2. This submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal.

  3. The manuscript is original, free of plagiarism, and properly cites all referenced sources.

  4. All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.

  5. All tables and figures are properly numbered, labeled, and referenced in the text.

  6. Permission has been obtained to publish any copyrighted materials, including photos, datasets, or third-party content.

  7. The author(s) agree that the manuscript, if accepted, will be published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

  8. The author(s) retain copyright and grant Journal of Mathematics and its Applications (Krestama Math) the right of first publication.
